During the pregnancy of Ajarn Ya’s mother, she sought blessings from the revered monk Luang Pu Hong Phrompanyo—a master of ancient esoteric teachings. After performing a sacred ritual, the monk prophesied:”The child in your womb will one day be known far and wide, across this nation and beyond. In time, this child shall become a master of arcane wisdom, a guardian of ancient occult arts, and a spiritual refuge for those in need—guiding them with profound insight and compassion.”This divine revelation marked the destined path of Ajarn Ya, whose life’s work now fulfills this sacred prophecy.

We each got a Sak Yant tattoo and are thrilled. The tattoos are excellent. Arjahn is an experienced tattoo artist who learned his craft from his grandfather and has now been tattooing himself for more than 20 years. Tattooing begins and ends with a Buddhist ceremony. In keeping with his family's long tradition of tattooing, he still tattoos with a manual needle, not a machine. Absolutely recommended!
Arjahn Ya is kind and professional. He took the time to listen, answer questions, and work with me to make sure everything met my needs. For those going simply for a tattoo, he works hygienically, accurately, and swiftly with a very gentle hand. For those going for the spiritual and religious ritual of receiving a sak yant, this is where Arjahn Ya really shines. He clearly takes the religious aspect of his work extremely seriously and will take the time to customise your tattoo to appropriately match your spiritual needs. In addition to standard ink tattoos, he can also do a "sak yan nam man" or oil sak yant. These tattoos are invisible, using sacred oil instead of ink. This allows the recipient the full blessing of a sak yant without the physical marking. This has traditionally be popular among women who, historically, would not have had visible tattoos. It is also an excellent option for those who want the blessing and the experience but just aren't ready to commit to a design.
He is a kind and compassionate person and very down to earth as well, which makes the experience relaxing. All in all a lovely experience that I hope to some day repeat.
